What I am using is a desk stand microphone stand with a cloth over the top to snug up the fit and protect the grip. I used a facecloth sized microfiber towel just folded over the top which makes it feel very secure. You can use different color facecloths and such to match your decor.(maybe a piece of leather?) I used a brown cloth so you could see the contrast. No need to do any altering to your grip. You can leave the tray on your desk or table, and leave the stand by a couch or chair. Allows you to one hand the trackball to scroll through pages if you don\\47t need to type. Cost brand new at any music store..between $10-$20 bucks. You can buy used for under $10 probably on Ebay or make your own. It\\47s the mike clip on the top of stand that allows the the cloth to stay snug. So far it has made me use the grip much more because it is now much easier to set down without being a pain. Best of all...No Tools needed...No alterations to AG.
