2 year old Male Airedale
I am deeply saddened to be forced to need a home for my 'dale. He is two years old, groomed, current on all vaccines, hwp, and neutered. He is trained on the hidden fence, and has basic obedience. His only bad habits are he loves the trash if it is available and likes to jump up on all new visitors. He is also like every other dale I know, has... more »

IMO, you're making a huge mistake. You are thinking about how your puppy is going to you along with cats, which is obviously important to your decision BUT the problem is not the age your puppy is now, the fights between your Dobe and your puppy will begin at your puppy gets older. As your puppy matures he will naturally challenge the Dobe for top position. There will be fights. If you are not there to supervise, they could be extremely serious. They will be serious fights even if you are there but at least then you will be in a position to (hopefully) stop the fight.... more »

size of breed
I am interested in an airedale puppy but would prefer a dog that would not be quite so large. Is there a miniature version or smaller version. Thanks for the info.

My question is: Does this breed drink a lot of water or is this a trait that is particular to him? I know my Bouvie drinks a lot, but... more »

Diarrhea in older airedale
Hi All: Willie is a 10 1/2 year old female airedale and the light of my life. Since a bad infection after spaying at age 2, she has been on a diet of homemade chicken and rice mixed with Science Diet dog food. She has had intermittant bouts of diarrhea for the last few months, lasting 1-2 days with spans of a few weeks between bouts. The vet checked her out... more »

hi group. Our 4 yar old male neutered dale is a great guy. We keep a prong pinch collar on him, because of his strength. 85lbs. I was at work this eve, and my wife went to bring him in. He was sitting in the stoop outside the side door where we let him out. he would not come in for her, so she grabbed his prong collar, and he... more »
