I am interested in an airedale puppy but would prefer a dog that would
not be quite so large.  Is there a miniature version or smaller
version.  Thanks for the info.

Purebred airedales can be found maturing as small as 45 lbs. If your are
looking for a significantly smaller dog, looking into Lakeland or Welsh
terriers- as they have the same basic appearance but come in smaller sizes.

The Welsh and Lakeland are not "small" Airedales. The look like Airedales and are terriers but are individual breeds.
