My thoughts on the matter--The younger the pup, the easier to blend him in
with cats. He will no doubt take the lead off your Dobie and how he treats
the cat. Dobie may even put the new pup in his place if he goes for one of
the cats. A well trained dog often exhibits that kind of behavior. My two
ADTs keep each other in check when one catches the other breaking the rules.
It's a scream.
Glad to hear the ADT will be an indoor pet. They need/want that so
badly--to be part of their family and close to those who they love.

Subject: Question re Puppy
we have a chance to adopt a airedale Mix puppy< 2 month old>
we want to raise him IN the house with our 3 yr old male Dobie who is
Super mellow AND our 3 indoor cats...
My question is Getting him ThIS YOUNG, will we be successful in
blending him into the family OR will he eventually end up viewing the
cats as furry PREY???
< We had an Airedale male several years ago however he was an Outside
pet... This time around we want a in home companion
Os this doable??
thanks
