Hi Mel:
I viewed the 8 minute preview of the CD and it's a very professional job. I
hope it generates greater interest in digital. Currently, I am having some
technical difficulties with my computer that I'm trying to resolve; and I'm
in the process of updating another computer to take over on digital. This may
take a few weeks since I am slower than I used to be.
After some difficulties getting the new drugs (rarity ot the drug and the
insurance company) I haved been on it for nearly two weeks, and the results are
very dramatic. My pain is nearly gone and I haven't had any of the side
effects such as hair loss and digestive upsets. I am to be on the drug for a
period of four weeks, two weeks off and then an appraisal of what to do next.
Although it won't dure the cancer, it will slow down its spread; it's a way
to buy time, I guess.
You haven't missed much while away. Propagation has been very poor and
unstable. It seems like everyone is hoping for an increase in the sunspots and
an upswing in activity. Right now the propagation charts show 12 MHz as the
MUF for central atlantic states to europe; it's not very good, all considered.
I gather you will be in Cape Coral this coming week. I trust your weather
will be better there than here. Enjoy, and I look forward to your return on
the air from K0 land.
73,
John
