Sounds simple, but making the time is a discipline that doesn't come
easy.

I know.

I've worked on a ghostwriting project for more than 18 months. The
good news is, the first draft is finished, and we've attracted the
interest of a major literary agency. The not-so-good news is that
progress on the rewrite moves at a snail's pace. Nevertheless, each
week finds us closer to completion.

My speaking engagements have been fewer this year, but in August I
will teach at the Greater Philadelphia Christian Writers Conference.
Topics include humor writing and compilations. Speaking of
compilations, I'm working with a good friend on her collection of
mother-in-law, daughter-in-law stories. She is currently shopping the
proposal, and we will accept submissions after she secures a contract.
When that occurs, I will send word through this newsletter.
