Subject: Tangibles tutorial in ECSCW conference, Paris, September 18

Hi all,

Anyone who is interested in tangibles for collaboration, we are conducting a
full-day tutorial in the upcoming ECSCW conference, hosted by Inria in
Paris, France, at September 18-22.

The tutorial will focus on prototype techniques, current projects
demonstrations, selected literature, and open research questions.
See description at:
http://insitu.lri.fr/ecscw/tutorial1.html

Regarding the ECSCW conference, it seems to be very interesting this year
with keynote by Bill Gaver (RCA) and Hal Abelson, creator of Boxer. Among
different project to be presented, Paul Dourish and Johanna Brewer and
Amanda Williams will show an ambient and tangible interface for
collaboration called NIMIO.

Hope to see you there!
Oren Zuckerman (MIT Media Lab) and Jean-Baptiste Labrune (INRIA)

Dear All
I am currently helping to organize the next ACM SIGCHI ACE conference
(Advances in Computer Entertainment)
This years highly successful conference in Spain can be seen at
www.ace2005.org
I think tangible interaction especially for children is very important
in computer entertainment.
So I am inviting any members of this group to join the scientific
program committee (review papers), or advisory committee (a general
discussion group where we ask your advice), or even part of the
organizing committee.
Please can you contact me at the soonest if you are interested.
Best wishes
Adrian Cheok
