When viewing a shared slideshow from Picasaweb you are not able to
download the pictures to picasa because the webpage does not detect
the presence of picasa. This works in IE 6 and Firefox 2. Is this a
firefox bug or a google bug?

Thanks for letting me know about any strangeness you've experienced
using Firefox 3 and Picasa Web Albums.
Cris - your post was super helpful since you provided good detail
about your browser, and you also described what you were doing when
you ran into the issue. Thanks again! ;-)
twestheimer - A good way to tell if you're experiencing an issue with
Firefox 3, is to try the same action using Firefox 2. To use a past
example, if you see a "Download Album" link in Firefox 2, but you see
a "Download Picasa" link in Firefox 3 -- then it's likely the browser
causing trouble.
As the team irons out the wrinkles so we can fully support Firefox 3,
I'd like to hear from you if you're experiencing some type of issue
using Firefox 3 and Picasa Web Albums.
Let me know by replying to this thread. I'll leave this up as a sticky
post for a little while. :)

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/
2008052906 Firefox/3.0
"The Download Album" button is still broken for me. It shows instead
the link to the installation to Picasa2. Works with Portable FF2 and
IE7. Dowloading a single picture works too.
Hi, I too get the "Download Picasa" rather than the "Download Album"
link. I am running Windows XP MCE 2002, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U;
Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0

in addition to the problem already described here ("Download Picasa"
instead of "Download Album"), I also experience the following:
* "Edit Captions" does not work: The Image Thumbnails are not
displayed, the image file name is printed instead. Clicking into an
unset Caption field does not clear the grey "Click to add caption"
text. Instead, I get a cursor and can add more grey text, which is not
saved upon clicking "Done". (Workaround: Adding a caption from the
single-image view works fine.)
I'm using the current Windows Build on XP (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U;
Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0), but see
the same at home with the current Mac Build on Mac OS 10.4.

I have Firefox 3. I can see my albums, and can caption a picture by
clicking on it in the "View Album" page. However, when I click on
"Edit Captions" which usually brings up the pictures 50 at a time, I
only see "DSC001.jpg" etc., instead of the actual picture.
I see on this thread that there seem to be some problems with Picasa
Web Albums and Firefox 3 (e.g., the post I'm replying to). I haven't
tried to caption anything in "Edit Captions". I have Windows XP 2002
Professional.
Thanks for working on this. I look forward to a solution.

I'm also using Firefox3.0 and having the same problems when trying to
change an Album Cover, etc. Any idea when this will all be ironed
out? I'm having to use IE7 to do all my Picasa Webs editing right now.
I too am getting a 'hang' when trying to change the album cover using
FF3 - and when trying to change my display picture (both 'Loading
Album List'). IE7 is works OK for this.
