His ship passage papers list him as being 19 but that would have made his b.1820 & any census I find him in show 1824. I believe he lied about his age as it looks like he worked his way over. My great grandfather Frank Schlosser came to the states in about 1884 at the age of 16. He was born in 1869 and died in 1929. I have info on him and his family from the 1900,1910,& 1920 census. He resided in Canton, Ohio. He told family he came from Alsace Lorraine. In his obit it says he has 2 brothers living in Germany.... more »
