  Hello! &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I am really looking at getting back into the analogue... I had a Palm &lt;br&gt; TX that died for the 3rd time, and I am just not willing to replace or &lt;br&gt; fix it again. I&#39;ve owned a lot of different PDAs, all the way back to &lt;br&gt; the Palm Professional. I like them a lot, but I am sick of having to &lt;br&gt; make sure my batteries are charged before I go on a trip, etc.

  I don&#39;t think it&#39;s very out of place. Modo y Modo is shipping a &lt;br&gt; patent leather moleskine. While really nice, I don&#39;t see the point, &lt;br&gt; except the higher price one.... &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;That said, they are nicely done, too and would make a nice gift.

  Traditionally this would be considered a skill that is part of the &lt;br&gt; making of the sword of a Samurai where the wrap on the handle is most &lt;br&gt; often based in sharkskin. It is extremely durable and provides &lt;br&gt; outstanding grip. I make knives (not swords!) and have seen some &lt;br&gt; excellent work in sharkskin in that arena.

  Frank, Wow--I am curious--why did you do this? &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I am not a big moleskine mod fan--one of the reasons I use the &lt;br&gt; moleskine is that it has everything that I need--but I do have a lot &lt;br&gt; of friends who create strange Duct Tape Pen Holders or GTD Tab &lt;br&gt; Systems--so I *generally* understand what drives the customizations
