Hello!

I am really looking at getting back into the analogue... I had a Palm
TX that died for the 3rd time, and I am just not willing to replace or
fix it again. I've owned a lot of different PDAs, all the way back to
the Palm Professional. I like them a lot, but I am sick of having to
make sure my batteries are charged before I go on a trip, etc.

I don't think it's very out of place. Modo y Modo is shipping a
patent leather moleskine. While really nice, I don't see the point,
except the higher price one....

That said, they are nicely done, too and would make a nice gift.

My first thought when I saw this was, "Isn't shark skin delicate?".
What do I know? It looks as though a lot of work went into this. I
like it. Especially the way the band and skin bare touch each other.

technical challenges that I may not have even imagined. Of course,

What can i add to this is i am godan IAIDO teacher and my genuin
katanas have shark skin on the Saya which is also covered by URUSHI (
japaneese laquer)
Art in martial art or art in Writing instruments like Namiki pen or
Moleskine is for me same approche.

Traditionally this would be considered a skill that is part of the
making of the sword of a Samurai where the wrap on the handle is most
often based in sharkskin. It is extremely durable and provides
outstanding grip. I make knives (not swords!) and have seen some
excellent work in sharkskin in that arena.

at work why the peinter or musician have done it??

Frank, Wow--I am curious--why did you do this?

I am not a big moleskine mod fan--one of the reasons I use the
moleskine is that it has everything that I need--but I do have a lot
of friends who create strange Duct Tape Pen Holders or GTD Tab
Systems--so I *generally* understand what drives the customizations

many precious thoughts to slip by unrecorded. So much inspirational
energy gone to waste if not recorded on the page in ink!

I do carry my moleskine journal & fountain pen everywhere with me, I
can't leave home without them! However I think the fatigue for me
