Recently I do a update from my Unix box, with it rails bring to 2.1.0,
my old mephisto (based on 0.7.3) installation don't work. I update to
0.8 with no results.

how can downgrade the rails version for working with mephisto ? I have
more than 2000 post published on a postgresql database prior to using
mephisto, I migrate my posts from typo.

some advices, tips, or suggestions on it ?

You can use:
gem list rails
to see what version of rails are already installed
To delete rails 2.1 or install 2.0.2 just use '-v=' parametr. For
example:
gem uninstall -v=2.1.0 rails
