The official date of the Opener Tournament has been set. It will be
held on October 11th, between 11AM and 7PM. Pre-registration is still
open (email badminton (at) jhu.edu to enter), and open registration
will be held between 11AM-1PM. The first round will start at 1.

HSA Breakfast and Fall Festival Concert preparation.

Courts 1, 2 and 3, Friday 9/26/08 at 9pm thru 9/28/08 10am for the

There won't be any open gym times on Thursday due to the Hypnotist
show. Also, Saturday might be cancelled as well, depending on how fast
the tarp gets removed from the SAC fair on friday. The gym is closed
on sunday for student staff training.

Hey, JHU-Badminton guys:
This is an email regarding the ongoing election for the president of Chinese students association. If you are not a Chinese or you are not interested in what the election can bring to the club, I am sorry for the spam and enjoy your wonderful weekend.
I am writting to support Yuxiang Lian as the CSSA presidency candidate. Usually we do not care who is gonna be the president of CSSA, anyway it is not an election of the USA president. However, it is different this time, as Yuxiang is our buddy. Isn't it wonderful that our new president will be among us, and I am assured he will bring as much benefits to us as possible. Especially if he can invite a coach for the club and hold tournament, with free birdies to smash for sure.

UMCP Team Tournament

I just received word from the UMCP Badminton Club that they will be
hosting their Spring tournament on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 9 am to
about 10 pm. It will be a team tournament, and there is a fee of $120

Baltimore Regional Chinese Badminton Tournament - JHU Team Formation

FYI-
This tournament is one of a series of tournaments (including soccer,
tennis, ping pong, badminton) and the goal of these tournaments is to
support the coming Beijing Olympics. The winner will compete with the
winner from UMCP District. And final champions will be awarded by the
Chinese Embassy in April.

Please note that there will not be badminton practice time this
Saturday, November 17 because of the Table Tennis Tournament. We will
have from 1pm to 7pm on Sunday instead. In case you were wondering,
we are planning to hold an in-house tournament in early December,
which is contingent upon funding.
