Known issue: roadmaps stop loading

Update, July 18th
We are currently tracking another problem that can cause map tiles to
stop loading. If roadmaps stop loading but satellite tiles continue to
work, and the instructions in the other pinned "maps stop loading"
post don't help, here's something else to try:

Remote Desktop

Whenever I am connected to my desktop using Remote Desktop, Google
Maps does not work. I get a page with a bunch of squares with missing
images. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Navigation controls

Google maps used to show navigation controls in the upper left -- a
slider for zooming in and out and arrows for panning. This
disappeared a few weeks ago, and it never shows when I map a location.
Any idea how I can get it back?

Convert miles to kms
|

When getting directions, the default setting is in miles but I need
distances in kms. To convert, I click the kms setting button at the
bottom of that pane, but for the last few days, it has rarely if ever
converted the distance. The map/directions do refresh, so something

It seems my maps are not working , Google has removed them and the new
maps are not showing , Why is that , they are all business we run ,
they should be allowed to show , Why not ?

Imagery at zoom level not showing

I do use Google Maps fairly freqently, but there are days when the
satellite images are available and other days when they are not, even
for the same city (in my case, Salem Oregon.) For example, yesterday
