Subject: Re: Question for Channel Creasing Matrix users
I have had good success using a crush score on my Miehle V-50.
My set up would be to run an 8.5x11 with the gripper on the 8.5 inch side. (horizontal rules) I pack my cylinder up to specs and take a strip of shipping carton tap and place it where the rule hits the Tympan. This tape is optional but allows you to reuse the tympan. (keeps the tape from ripping off the paper fibers) The next step is to use four or five strips of 3M (256?) white art tape (masking tape works). Take the strips of tape and lay them on top of each other building up a thick layer of tape. It's pretty much guess work until you figure out what works with your rule height. Next slowly inch the press until the rule scores the tape and double check to make sure you're not hitting it too hard. Now I would run a few test sheets to see if it's scoring properly. I use crush scores all the time and prefer this method for vertical I hope this helps Matt On Aug 6, 6:46 pm, Beez <bea...@yahoo.com> wrote: > Hello All, ve > Hopefully this post is not too far OFF topic.
