Subject: Camcorder Suggestions to replace stolen TRV-950

Ok, so I wasn't planning on having to ever replace my TRV-950 which I
love and have gotten great professional results from...
however I just went out of town and came back to find that my beloved
950 was stolen from my shop, along with the Sennheiser G2 Receiver.

What are the "desirable" camcorders
for someone like me that shoots How To DVD's using miniDV.  I don't
shoot 16x9 and HDV or HD isn't something I must have.  I already
have enough storage issues with just regular standard def video. My
videos will never be shown in a theater so I don't care about 24p....

I've always been partial to Sony camcorders too.

I would be using this for documenting my growing 4 year old son as well
as for professional use--which is why the 950 was perfect for me, and
image quality
was exceptional.  Any suggestions if I'm going to be spending
$1,500-$2,500??

Richard
