  Yes, after sleeping on it that&#39;s the conclusion I came to as well. But &lt;br&gt; now I&#39;m even more curious to get this confirmed, as I&#39;m not even sure &lt;br&gt; the cameras mentioned can _do_ 1080p@24fps. Certainly I know we&#39;ll &lt;br&gt; never do it with HDV. &lt;br&gt; Can lowering the frame rate by 1-6 fps really make a particularly &lt;br&gt; pleasing difference?   I&#39;m not sure about ATSC but the EBU has only TWO HD transmission formats &lt;br&gt; (720/25p and 1080/50i), all the rest are acquisition only formats. The &lt;br&gt; latest cameras in our fold (I work for a rental shop) have about a dozen &lt;br&gt; different formats.   I met up with some members of the local Mac Users Group, and we spent &lt;br&gt; the whole night talking about the state of post right now. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I found out that practically everyone is shooting TVCs on P2 in Manila &lt;br&gt; right now, and posting in 1024P, I think (unless I got my facts &lt;br&gt; screwed up). Then they drop it down to SD Betacam for distribution.
