Attached please find the information to register your unit for a
contingent to Philmont for the summer of 2010.

NOTE: Our region (Central) has a registration window of October 27 -
November 2, 2008.

Remember, the National Jamboree is also that summer (July 26 - August
24, 2010) when choosing your unit contingent dates.

Gallon Milk jugs needed!

Please save all your empty, clean gallon milk jugs, as lots are needed for the Camp Lazarus Halloween event.
You can drop them off to Tammy Heyse who will be at the rechartering training this Thursday, October 9th at the? Northwest Christian Church 1340 Fishinger Road in Upper Arlington or to Ruth White's house 8108 Simfield Road in Dublin anytime this week or next.

Question about Cub Scout Camp Fire

There is a Pack Family Camp out coming up this weekend and we will have
a Baloo Trained person on site.

Is it necessary that the Baloo person be the only person to build and
maintain the camp fire or can he/she delegate and oversee someone else?

Can someone send me the rules for Family Pack Camp Out camp fire safety?

9/20 Cub Leader Training cancelled

Several of our trainers are still without power and may not have it
until this weekend. They have been unable to adequately prepare and
therefore we have decided to cancel Cub Leader Training for Saturday,
September 20th.

There are four other training opportunities -

Aviation Merit Badge

Youth Aviation Adventure will again be offering the Aviation Merit Badge
seminar on Saturday October 4th from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the OSU
Airport (Don Scott Field). The program involves 10 stations where scouts
learn about aviation and test their knowledge.
Additionally this year there will be an all day program for Venturing

Emergency Preparedness Training
