Article: Neglect of health
This 'Sthula' body containing Annamaya Kosha is a wonderful gift of God. It is a Combination of system, art and science. However, due to social pressures, mental extremism and indulgence in excesses we appear to spoil it.
The measures adopted by us to gauge our success in life are quite defective. We become absolutely illogical while employing the mechanism of this beautiful body to work. We keep on neglecting the rules that are adevised to maintain and develop the body. Consequently we make our own life hellish and then we repent as has been said by a poet;
'Phool chunane aye the baghe hayat men, Kanton men apna daaman uljha ke rah gaye'
(I had come to garden to pick up beautiful flowers but I entangled myself with thorns).
Without going into details it should be understood by us clearly that the root cause of all diseases lies in imbalanced diet, irregular life style/routine and our irrational thinking. In the mechanism of body one process is connected with another and each system is co-related with other systems. It we disturb some process or system, others also get affected. From the view point of health, it will be more appropriate to treat body as a single unit though it is comprised of several units.

GHANA SATWA - Concentrated Aquious Herbal Extracts
The plant kingdom has always been the favorite source of medication in all-healing traditions all over the world. Ayurveda also makes use of various herbs in its different formulations suggested in its classical texts.
As we all know that the Panchavidha kashaya kalpana. i.e. swarasa, kalka, heema. Phanta, kashaya (kwatha) are the basic 5 ideas on which the branch of 'Bhaishajya Kalpana' absolutely depends upon. All the future developments in this branch are further proliferations of the Panchavidha kashaya kalpana.
These basic five ideas have their own limitations. For example, the Swarasor juice of a herb has a very limited shelf life and it is very difficult to obtain fresh herbs every time and every place. The kalka, kashaya (kwatha) also are mostly un-palatable and their doses are high.
To overcome these disadvantages certain developments were tried & the most effective idea to tackle these disadvantages can be sought in the concept of Rasakriya.
There are many advantages in using GhanaSatwa like:
a.. Higher concentration
b.. Lower Dosage
c.. Subtle in nature. So goes to subtle target tissues.
d.. Longer Shelf life.
e.. Better Bio availability

In the News: Diabetes breakthrough: Toronto scientists cure disease in mice
Michael Dosch at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and colleagues, had previously shown that not only islet cells, but the nerve tissue around them was affected as diabetes set in. For this reason, they suspected that certain sensory nerves of the pancreas might be involved. These nerves release a neuropeptide called "substance P" and are usually responsible for ensuring that islet cells produce the right amount of insulin.
The researchers used a chemical to obliterate these nerves in a breed of mice genetically predestined to develop diabetes. "It turns out if you remove these specific sensory nerves, the animals don't get diabetes," says Dosch. "It was stunning."
Single injection
When the researchers examined the nerves of diabetes-prone mice and compared them with normal mice, they found that the nerves of diabetes-prone mice do not producing enough substance P. This causes islet cells to overproduce insulin, leading to insulin-resistance and eventually islet-cell death. It is at this point, says Dosch, that the immune system is called into action, triggering diabetes.
The team wanted to know what would happen if they gave diabetic mice a top-up of substance P, so they injected some directly into the pancreas. Astonishingly, the diabetes disappeared overnight and the mice remained diabetes-free for weeks, and even months in some cases.
