Government trying to get disabled people back to work

Hi Everyone,
A new discussion I thought I would start off, and was wanting to know
your thoughts.
Our government are trying to get disabled people working again, which
in principle I feel is a good thing if you are able to, unfortunately
I am not as spend 80% of my life in bed.
But the disabled people on benefits and allowances are saying why

Hi Every One,
By the way every one I have had a lot of response with the other
groups I am involved with, they agree that some thing should be done,
I am thinking about writing a letter saying I am the manager and
founder of my groups and wish to complain about accessibility issues
in to my local council, in Oldham.

have a stroke related condition, osteoarthritis, post traumatic
fibromyalgia syndrome, damaged vertebra and other conditions too many

Hand Controls

I recently tried to purchase hand controls through a company in Santa
Monica that didnt provide training and thet said I didnt need a
evaluator to check out if I can drive safely or any one can put them
in too. I find this hard to believe becose of the danger element to
other road users.
Does anyone know what law is on this plaese? I hate to think people in

Impaired in Memphis, TN. I have a client in her 50's who is very
pleasant and intelligent, has her masters in social work. She has
worked as a social worker in our county schools and at the University

getting constantly shocked by manual wheelchair

My daughter uses a manual wheelchair at work and has to use her feet to
push herself around because if she uses the rails on the wheels she
gets major shocks. Does anyone else have this problem, or a solution
to it?

I am in a wheelchair & I would like a "Canadarm". One that is portable
or could be attached to the chair or bed. Can you imagine the freedom
it would provide. It could be used in hospitals & nursing homes, you
might actually get a cold drink of water, or a badly needed comode. It
could be electrical with a backup battery. It would certainly spell
